For Skilled Workers who are interested in working in Canada temporarily there is a new program that has most recently been created by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to address the shortage of Highly Skilled Workers in the technology sector of Canada. The most important aspect of this program is the streamlined processing times of two (2) weeks to obtain a Work Permit.

There are certain conditions that must be met in which this program is divided into two categories, one based on Employers who are referred by a designated partner by IRCC and the other category based specifically on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) of your job title.

This program was created to ensure technology companies in Canada who require immediate vacancies to be filled will allow their product or service to remain competitive and innovative in the ever growing high technology sectors of the world. By addressing the labour shortage immediately, this operational environment for high technology companies will allow them to flourish and push Canada's technology sector forward.
