Changes to the Citizenship Act (Bill C-6) has received Royal Assent in Parliament

As of June 19, 2017, the much-anticipated changes to the Citizenship Act (Bill C-6) has finally received Royal Assent in Parliament. Some changes are to take into effect immediately, whereas other changes are expected to take place this coming Fall 2017 and early 2018. A summary of the changes are noted below:
