Immigration Canada extends the application period for new graduates to apply for their Post Graduate

New changes have been made to this program that will allow more time for recent graduates to apply for their Post Graduate Work Permits. The changes in timeline is that after a student graduates from a designated learning institution, they now have up to 180 days from the issuance of their original marks on their transcripts. The original requirement was to apply for this permit within 90 days. The other main change to this program is the ability to apply without holding a valid Study Permit at the time of application. This is another factor that alleviates the high stress associated with trying to apply before a student's current Study Permit expires. Both of these updates are well appreciated and received by students and illustrates how Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada are streamlining their efforts to make this program to run as efficiently as possible.
